SKCC member, Gold medal winning Paralympian, and Order of Australia recipient, Carol Cooke (AM) is taking part in, and running the 24 Hour Mega Swim at the Fitzroy Pool in the last weekend of February.
This will be the 15th year of the swim and with all the other swims that have started up as well Carol is happy to say that in excess of $6.3 Million has been raised! All of this money has gone directly to people living with MS in the form of scholarships, education programs and a financial assistance program. The swims are run by volunteers to keep costs down.
We want to help, and this post is to ask you to donate to the swim by sponsoring Carol. You can do this by going to the donation page on the MS Australia website. Carol is looking to raise $3,000, which is the amount of a scholarship for a person living with MS so they can follow a dream. These scholarships can be life changing, so if you can help, please dig deep! ANY amount is appreciated and any amount over $2 is tax deductible.
This year’s swim will be taking place from 6pm on the 27th of February to 6pm on the 29th of February. If anyone is interested in taking part please let us know, and we can get you in touch with Carol!
