After a tough few years of restrictions, St Kilda Cycling Club is pleased to announce the return of Big Sunday Racing. On Sunday 13th of March we commence a 3 race crit series at Albert Park, marking a return to real life racing for the club and our members.
Albert Park skills have been well honed throughout 2 years of lockdowns. Now be prepared to do it in your SKCC kit on race day! The freshly laid surface around Albert Park will make for great racing for participants and spectators alike.

7:30-12:00 – Sunday March 13th
7:30-12:00 – Sunday March 20th
7:30-12:00 – Sunday March 27th

Course details, race times and length will be released in the coming weeks, offering capacity for all types of riders and grades from those just starting out to the seasoned crit racers of old!
Race entries will be via Entry Boss, and will be opened closer to the first race. In order to participate you will need to hold a valid AusCycling race license. Entries are open to all AusCycling race members with entry discounts for current SKCC race members. Single race, one week or yearly race licenses are available from the AusCycling website.
Race numbers:
With the launch of our new circuit, we will also be joining the Northern Combine permanent race number system. If you have raced at Coburg, Hawthorn or Northern Combine you continue to use that number and frame plate. Race numbers will be available for hire on race day, but (hint, hint) it will be more cost effective to have your own, even if you only plan to race a couple of races.
Volunteers:
As with any sporting event this wouldn’t be possible without your help, currently we will need expressions of interest for volunteers for the following roles and more :
- Sausage sizzle crew
- Registration Desk
- Marshals
So if you don’t feel that white line fever coming on in March but still want to be around the action supporting the club and our SKCC racers we encourage you to put up your hand.
