Hotdogs for Breakfast? SKCC crit racing – Sunday 3 March at Bay St, Port Melbourne!

Yes – we are moving the SKCC crits for a one-off hotdog extravaganza.

Not only will Bay Street provide the setting for the crit racing, it will also play host to final race in the NEOMETRO / beller four race series – the iconic Single Speed Carnival.

12:00pm Single Speed Hot Lap
1st $100, 2nd $50, 3rd $25 (1st woman across the line $60, 2nd $40)
Single Speed Hot Lap open to all grades, 1 lap, no fixies and must have brakes.

Best in Show (best looking bike – single/fixie): 1st $100, 2nd $50,

Best in Show (best looking bike – retro): 1st $100, 2nd $50,

Judging for “Best in Show” at 11:00am and presentations to follow the Single Speed Hot Lap. Judging for the  “Best in Show” at the SKCC Registration Area (see below).

Times as follows:

8:00 am – D Grade Men – Mens 30 min +1 lap
8:45 am – C Grade Men – Mens 40 mins + 1 Lap
9:30 am – Drag race – Roller blades versus pushbike over approximately 100 metres.
9:45 am – Womens B Grade – 35 mins + 1 lap
10:20 am – Kids Hot lap (limited number of free children’s jerseys hand out to children).
10:30 am – B Grade Mens – 45 mins + 1 lap
11:15 am – Womens A Grade – 45 mins + 1 lap
12:00 pm – Single speed hot lap
12:10 pm – A Grade Men – 50 mins + 1 lap.
1:00 pm – Finish

Note: no E grade or Women’s C grade on the day as a hotdog is technically challenging and new riders may not have had a chance to train on one. —
