Come away on the 29th and 30th of November with the SKCC MTB Skills Camp as we head to Bright to sample the best trails the North-East has to offer.
The weekend is suitable for riders of all skill levels and includes high quality skills coaching and a great time away with some fantastic people.
About Bright
Bright has a well deserved reputation as Victoria’s cycling Mecca. Home to the Bright 12hr and 24hr races, the Bright trail network nestles into the foothills of the Victorian High Country. Pine forest singletrack, river side whoop-de-do’s, and a little smidge of fire road offers a little something for everyone.
The Bright trails are complemented by the nearby Beechworth MTB Park and the Mt Beauty trail complex which we will probably hit during the weekend too!
Coaching
Coaching at the camp will be provided by SKCC’s own Pat Fitzpatrick from Ride International. Pat is a hugely experienced MTB coach and cycling tour guide, Pat will break down and explain those little tricks and techniques that the PROs string together into effortless smoothness.
The coaching cost for the camp is $150 for members and $190 for non-members (must be Cycling Australia or MTBA members) for a 4.5 hour intensive skills tuition session tailored to suit your current skill level (maximum 8 riders per session)
Accommodation
To keep costs manageable, accommodation and food are to be organised by camp attendees and are not included in the camp price. We’ll be meeting up with the SKCC women’s retreat for a group dinner on the Saturday night, for $20. The trails are best accessed from the Bright Holiday Park (http://www.brightholidaypark.com.au) which is also a good place to stay, close to the heart of town as well. Camp near the river or go all out for a luxury weekend – it’s up to you!
