“I became such a better rider in the shortest amount of time!”
Andrew McGrath SKCC Member, 2011 Inverloch Challenger
This famous quote is becoming a routine feedback line after each year’s running of the ever-popular Ridewiser Inverloch Challenger weekend for St Kilda Cycling Club members. Now in its 9th year, the brilliant Gippsland scenery and unquestionably adventurous riding courses are to be experienced earlier in February for the first time. Riders are getting more and more technical, training and personal cycling advice each year from our expert Ridewiser Instruction Team, both on-road during the skills sectors or over meals and social times throughout the weekend.
It was such a blast for all involved over the previous few camps that it’s been moved back into the main summer period when more riders want to develop their abilities, skills and training volume. Some riders spend 6-12months preparing to qualify for entry, while others return 2 or 3 times to hone their skills as they climb the cycling ability ladder.
The weekend is capped at just 40 riders for 2014 and remains a restricted event to SKCC Members only.
